had the bike nearly two weeks now and done 1500 miles,my first big single was the MT500, later I has a Pegaso back in 95; and after several other bikes I now have the 05 Strada.








Oh almost forgot, I this under a cover, haven't used it this year, should really sort it out.

Hi, I recently picked up a 2008 Pegaso Trail in as new condition. I owned it for 4 hours before the fuel pump packed it in & spent most of a month at Brisbane Aprilia (Springwood Suzuki) getting a new pump & relay (not happy). Better pics to come.

The green cage to the right is a Nissan Gazelle track toy.

Hi Guy's,

I have recently bought a 05 Pegaso Strada with low milage, and a lovely Akrapovic System fitted.

I also have a 04 Caponord, so just fancied the smaller lighter bike for shorter journeys, when I'm on my own.

As I'm new to these bikes, I have a few questions.

Has anybody fitted knobbly tyres to their strada, and also a higher front mudguard from the Trail ??
Or mores the point, will they fit ?? I've been looking through photo's but haven't found any as as yet, with off road tyres fitted.
A friend of mine has a Tenere 660 which is a much taller bike, but just wanted to know if this was an option with the Strada.

I'll post a few photo's of mine when I get a chance, and I look forward to hearing your reply's.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

Short seat and light, well that is why I am here too, and won't be leaving in a hurry either!

You will be abke to fit the trail beak to the strada if you wish, it isi just finding one that does not plunge you country back into another finanacial crisis!

decent on/off road tyres are another thing. I have a Trail version so have no problems because it is a 19 inch front wheel, rather than your 17 inch. the reart 17 inch will be no problems as they are the same for all models. I am sure there will be someone offering a 17 inch front with at least some bow down to the off road.

Just want to show you the latest addition on my Strada. It's not perfect fit but looks good, much more notable in real than on pics.

Tnx. The model was made of styrofoam, then coated with several layers of polyester resin and fibers smoothed and painted. It's attached with two screwes to the bottom of the headlight - if you look there you will find two holes, and with another two on each side.

It will definitely need a screen, preferably tinted, and any other recommendation would be very welcome.
It's already had the fuel pump sorted and a new battery fitted.
So what else should I look out for ??

Welcome ScatmanJack. Keep your eyes peeled for a centre stand for the Pegaso. It makes a number of maintenance tasks so easy. It also allows easy chain lubing should you choose to tour on the Peg.
Oh, yes, nearly forgot, keep an eye on the starter button/engine kill switch. They can stick a little, particularly in colder weather, holding the starter motor engaged after the engine has started.

I think Hand guards, or Bark Busters are also a necessity.

I see you have a Pegaso Trail. Is there much difference in the forks length to incorporate the 19" front wheel, or could a set of spoked wheels and a 19" wheel be fitted to my Strada with knobblies on. I know the front mudguard is also different, but has anyone on here done this ?
