bike still playing up

hi all,

rode to work and back before. bike is still playing up i.e revs are jumping.. not as bad i think but probs me just thinking that!!

noticed though that ages ago when bike worked . that it wouldnt go anywhere near the power band before bike was upto 70degress

but this morning it went all the way up at 40degress!!. what is that stops it doing that normally?.

anyway asked m8 to take carb apart for me and see if it looks ok!,


pissed off today got held up at work so couldnt post off pwervalve and oil..

and came up to roundabout near me had to stop as car coming from right. bmw m3 behind me goes into the right lane as if to go right then goes straight on and then indicated.. i overtook him straight away and shouted cunt at him.. stupid bastards trying to kill us all the time.

Tried spraying WD40 down the HT Leads? and checking it isnt a dodgey plug. Or theres no water in the electrics.

Souldnt like it would be shorting somewher, or a jet is loose but you've looked at that.

m8 is going to take the carb apart tomorrow for me and check it over. used to work on 2 strokes in the 80's so may be able to tell whats wrong. you any idea why the bike will go through the revs even though its not warmed up now?

will try ht lead as well

Hi

When and engines cold, some of the fuel in the mixture condenses on the cold surfaces it meets on its way to the cylinder [this is why you need a choke to start cold].

once then engine is warm, this stops happening.

also, an engine needs to tighten up as it gets warm, eg, the piston needs to expand and the ring needs to seal well.

thats a few reasons why your engine wont rev cold.

cheers for the info.

my bike will now rev straight upto the redline even when i first started off this morning and temp was at 40 degress.

didnt do it on purpose though its just the way the bike is behaving at the moment!!

always used to refuse to go above 6000ish revs until it had warmed up!.

not sure if there is water in the electrics there is a small hole in back of the cdi though were it was done and bike started playing up when i was in buxton in terrential rain!

maybe the engines knackered rings?.

Its not all of them but its most! They seem to be getting worse now aswell, i think its because its windier so i aint going as fast so they get held up behind me and so they follow really close, what if some one was to step out infront of me and i had to slam on the breaks, they would be straight into the back of me they would! I aint gonna ride flat out when there is a 70 mph side wind blowing me all over, they need a One day i will end up just stopping in the middle of the road infront of them, getting off walking over, punch through the window and continue it onto there face, just as soon as i get some of them gloves with the carbon fiber nuckles!

Now that would really put the shits up them

If they tryed a stunt like they do in texas then they'd get there head blowen clean off! good job hand guns are illegal here for there sakes!

i forgot to mention that he was behind me as i turned into the road near my house. i indicated then stopped in the road for about 5 seconds then slowly turned even though the road in front was clear

I think they must get all twictchy when they see somthing on 2 wheels, like if you stop at traffic lights and the car infront has young kids in the bike, they always decide to turn and wave and stuff, and this is the future of our country?!?! god help us all!

I find the only good car drivers are the ones who own bikes themselves. Car drivers with bikes actually look out for bikes and not just cars etc.

Could be a good theory, my dad who rode motorbikes for about 15 year before he drove cars never seems to have any crashes and stuff of that nature, like it says in mcn on that petition, car drivers should be educated about motorcycalists and it should become part of the test, especially now when motorbikes are fastly becoming popular again!

when im on the back of my m8's 600 he rides up the arse of cars giving it loads of revs until they quickly move out of our way. its a real power trip

i hate it when u are goin down a long straight and there is some one waiting at a t junction waiting to join on they see u coming half a mile away its clear for them to join but then u are 100 yards away they still dont join then at about 20 yards away from them and they decide to pull out infront of u and u have to slam the anchors on fookin idiots how many times has this happened to me
