JET SIZE?/update

hi all,
thats me given up on 34mm carb!
more hassle than its worth!
might try again in the new year, but wont make the mistake of buying second-hand!
(cant trust no-one!)
i like the look of the polished one but its a bit steep,
anyone know where i can get it for a reasonable price?
anyway put standard carb back on,
starts 1st time!
& more importantly, keeps going!
but, again, i need opinions on jet sizes!
i know 120 is standard on 28mm but whats recommended for fp with jl twin?
i was thinking of 128 or 130,
what do you guys think?
i need a bigger jet asap,
so any suggestions welcome!

Got to say all the S/H 34 mm carbs i have been asked to fit dont work ! always end up putting a new one on there, So i feel for you

it didnt have black plastic top, but polished metal one?

mine was a right basa, was so far from stock by the time I was happy with the jetting.

ye i ended up getting a nice new one after the s/h one was crap but hey ho works now

the second hand one i had worked good, but i had to put a bizzarre needle in it to get rid of some midrange stutter, the same. then again, im too tight to spend that much on a new one for the diff it makes on a standard bore machine

i just fitted mine tonight, such a hassle 155 main jet. started straighjt away but well boggy. So i tuck the snorkle out and it was a bit better! so i thoughn it snot geting enough air. moved the needle position so it was lettign less fuel in. Then it was working fine but pluttered liek mad mid range. so i changed the circlip again and it were working mint for about 20 seconds then it died on me. Tuck spark plug out and it were oily as. gona see if i can sort it tommorow if not im going to take it into shop.
