    New guy

Hello everyone I'm a new guy on the ApriliaForum. I'm looking at the Tuono right now, i will buy one when i find the right one. I ride a FZ1 right now , i do love it. I will keep it after i get the Tuono. I never had a Italian vtwin , there is something about these bikes that i love ..exotic flavor ?? I was looking at the Monster, but after research it seems the Tuono is simply a better bike. A old riding buddy of mine has one and he loves it. What is the difference between a 2007 and a 2007.5 ? Thanks
    Joe

The main difference is the extra 6 HP at the crank and a different set of front calipers (I could be talking out of my ass here - and that does happen a lot) but I recalled AF1 said that the "new" calipers are older style Brembo.

Also the .5 didn't come with the rear seat cowl like the 7 (comes with both rear seat and rear set cowl).
    03 BMW Rockster, 07 (USA) Aprilia Tuono R, 07 KTM 990 Adventure, 2006 SR50 Factory Ditech, 2009 RS125.

Cogito ergo vroom - I think therefore I ride.

    Not enough difference to matter.
If you get a T, you might as well sell the FZ 1 You wont want to ride it>

now now, to be fair did your ride the duc??? And let's face it, the apes are getting like male genitalia- every blokes got them and they're always bigger and better than everyone else's!

Of course you could also check out the brutale or the motomarini if you want real italian exotica.

    Welcome Joe,
Just got my black 7, had AF1 put a tinted windscreen $35, Titanium/Carbon LV cans and Ohlin rear & springs, I don't think anyone could tell the diff.
I absolutly love the thing and my suzuki will get sold in the spring.
I rode the Duc S4R and didn't feel right ergos but I do like the look, maybe get one later and hang it like a poster in the garage, I can hang my jacket on the read sets.

    Welcome aboard!

Get the Tuono. You won't regret it. I've had upright twins, inline fours, v-twins of various makes and models and the Tuono is the best bike I've owned.

Yes get the Tuono. I had an 05 FZ1 that I also loved. However after 3800k the last two months on my Tuono I couldn't be happier. I have a grin every time I roll on some throttle and the handling is vastly superior thru the twistys. I'm bettin the Fizzy don't get out much if you get a Tuono.

    Thumbs up

    Just do it!

To be honest, I wasn't expecting there to be much in it between the Tuono and My 1050 Speed Triple.

    But there is.

In every department - power, handling, build quality - the Tuono trumps the Triumph.

Pound for pound it is without doubt the best naked out there. Bar noine...
