the pickups are under the right side cover and are not exposed to any shit so wouldnt have thought that would be a problem.
have you tryed changing the plug (cant be arsed to read back through to check again. it only takes 5 mins)
you wont damage the con rod squirting petrol in... unless you some how managed to get enough in there to get a hydraulic lock which cant be compressed and thus bends the con rod but not so likely on a 2t and not if your just spraying petrol up the bellmouth

I've changed the plug yeh, it could be a problem with the ignition system but I really have no idea I just wana pay somone else to do it lol

I think my next step is puttin the old stuff on (first the carb) then if it dnt work with the old carb the old barrell etc

look i wouldnt change you barrel back as i cant see that causing a problem. all the piston has to do is go up and down inside it. its not like it can be mechanically wrong.
try the old carb though
