SOoooo My bike was in the shop apparently its gott:
Compression
Spark
and Fuel
Problem is it still dnt start, they reckon it could be crankseals but they were sayin that It'll cost too much to look at/take appart rebuild. so I gotta put my old stuff on an see what happens
anyway long story short need some more money for the work
Got me a potential job deliverin pizzas
anyone else done it b4?i think it'll be fun cept for the waitin, hope they got a TV
sounds like fun! did you just fit the parts? bore kit etc or did you do a full rebuild when you fitted them?

I fitted the airfilter 34mm and bbk all at once, which was silly
they want me to fit my old carb first see if it works (does then 34mm prob)
then if it dnt try fittin the old barrell an piston (if tht dnt work then its not my new stuff)
what they recommended was sendin the engine off to get done properly i dunno what im guna do yet, guna earn some moneys first

if its the seals all you need is new seals althought if youre for getting soemone to do the seals get them to put some new bearings in aswell!
or do you mean whole bottom end ie, new bearings,seals and a new big end and conrod?

what sort of bike shop cant work on an rs?

i strongly recommend droping the engine and sending it to PJ paul to sort out as he has most experience with rs's and builds engines every week.
and hes a good guy and wont rip you off at all

why would seals stop it from fireing up??
it may have compression but how much?? did they check to see if the plug was sparking

they say compression spark and fuel....
well is it getting fuel in the cylinder. tryed spraying petrol up the inlet port. if it kicks then its a fueling problem ie the carb.
if it still doesnt kick even just a few pops then you know its not burning it.
there are a few simple procedures to go through to check each of the components of the engine are working. they are such simple engines compared to 4t
Modifications; 34mm carb, Foam filter, Carbon reeds, 16-40 Renthal sprockets and Gold O-ring chain, Dominator twin Headlight, Mini alloy indicators, Single seat alloy tail fairing, Shotgun rear lights, Wavey disc, Arrow exhaust (got JL but its wank so took it off) Polished stainless bolts everywhere
They said they got it to pop a few times if thats any help
also they could work on it they were just sayin it COULD end up takin like 5 hours to do it all endin up bein really spencers

they would have to be so wrecked to stop it firing up, its unimaginable. Usually the only give away that they've gone is smokey running.

no it wouldnt fire! might try but mixture would be unreasonably lean!
it often happens a 2 stroke when its left sitting around or not used alot!
the way to test it (its a old trick and not liked by many! i aint fussy on it either as its an easy way to bend a conrod!)
but try putting some fuel down the carb, then try to start it, if you can get it to run its the seals or reeds!
if not its splitting time anaway so find out what it is!
just use an old bottle and a tube and mix some oil in with it! not alot just a wee taste extra for good measure!

bend a con rod with a bit of fuel, where you got that from?
depends how much fuel you put in...
if you get a little excetied lots of fuel in the combution chamber... hey presto 1 bent conrod!
i speak from expcerience i have seen it done! (thankfully not by me!)
