Am due to sell my gilera runner 125 very soon for between £1000-1200 and have my heart set on 1 bike and 1 bike only
I no its not the bigest budget in the world but can i pick up a descent rs 125 for this price?. You no one thats been looked after an that.

best bikes ever when there workin, I got mine for £1000 its 2000 so yeah
you can get a pretty decent one just make sure you get a full power version
yerrr , make sure u look after it .
they have a real habit of f**king u over if u dont treat them right , pretty high maintenance but great bike and piss to work with !

theyre not high maintenance! theyre a 2T race rep. for that kinda money u shud b looking at 1997-2001 10k+. in decent cond. essentials are replacing the balance shaft gears every 8-10k miles. top end rebuild after 10K ish and make sure its been ran on fully synth 2T oil. a new gearbox is over £1000 so if its not smooth walk away. its a good first bike and u shud enjoy riding and looking after it.

Look after it and it'll be fine.
They have bad rep for being unreliable because a lot of them are owned by twaty chav owners who run them into the ground and then wonder why they went bang after being pinned at 12k for the last 5 miles.

Yeah i def plan on looking after it. I know that they have to warmed up to a min of 40 degrees b4 pulling away and not ridden hard anything b4 70-80 degrees. I also plan on topping her up with castrol tts every 3 or 4 fuel top ups and getting a top end rebuild every 16,000kms sound right?

TTs should do 8-9 tanks.
Full top end rebuild at 14,450kms, went bang at 20k kms.
