    Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde

...Jeeez this T sometimes brings out the worst in me......
I get on it ...all intentions to go off on a sensible & relaxing bumble.....but before you know it.....I'm acting like a class loon....too hard on the throttle...too hard on the brakes.....to hard into corners....it's as though Satan himself is riding pillion just daring me to push it that bit harder....
Is it just me? ..... or should I get the bike exorcised...

It's just you. If you read all the posts I'm sure you'll find that we all obey the posted speed limit, the front tire never leaves the ground (same with the rear) we behave in a respectable manner and are pillars of the community.

I woke up Sunday morning after dreaming the above.

Then I got on the T and ripped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

Even I turn into a bodgie (showing my age using that term) hooligan on the T (well, mild variety thereof). You just can't help it. Been lucky though, and thank goodness there's no front plate (but bi-directional speed cameras are becoming more prevalent). Last time, coming round a long sweeper catching up to my mate at 'just' over the speed limit, met a highway patrol car coming the other way. Nothing he could do about it, because there was nowhere for him to U-turn safely, and I wasn't hanging around to find out. I couldn't help smiling at his 'naughty, naughty' finger pointing, as we sailed past each other.

I am honestly a very reserved street rider. When I get on my T, it's another story. While I fear looping the bike, I can hardly resist whacking the throttle.

Say a couple Hale Marys and one Our father and be absolved of your sins.
I been down, but I aint out!

wait till you've had it for a while and got some serious miles on it arg.

They're a weird unit that's for sure. I can normally get comfortable on a bike pretty quickly and get to know my limits on it in a short time - like after a few good rides and a couple of track days.

But it's like I got to a point in my riding career (ha! what a joke) where I thought - yeah this is great, I'm OK with where I'm at. But now (and I know this sounds kind of lame) but I've been really inspired by this bike -I'm faster, smoother, harder & I've not experienced this to the same extent on any other bike (even the RSV's - so it's not necessarily an exclusively Aprilia thing).

But in the end, I don't really friggin know what it is - might just be me, but what I do know is this bike really really suits me. I just wish I knew why.

Only thing I would encourage you and other others to do if you're not already doing it, is get it out on the track. As I've said before, every time I've been on the track on the other bikes, all I think about is how much more fun I have when I'm on the T.

hopefully you might experience something similar - regardless, it only gets better

But enjoy it while you can, because I reckon these bikes don't come along very often - at least not so far in my lifetime!

It was the same for me with the RSV-F. I usually spend the first few thousand miles getting to know the limits of a new bike. However with the RSV-F, once it was set up, I got pretty close to my "limits" before finding those of the bike (other than the cold super corser tracion issue, but I'll for give it for that). I never thought that breaking later and accelerating at the apex would feel so natural.

    Well written Tuono07!
I absolutely agree with argentifa - none of the motorcycles I had before made it that hard for me to keep calm.
After 5 thousand kilometers the T has not even lost a touch of it's attraction
