well im in need of my 2nd service and i was amazed of the price that my dealers tried to get out of me for it. im at 3200 odd miles and they want around £150.. So i rang up Midland supersbikes and they want between £90 and £110 which is alot better. What price should i be expected to pay?
about that, i paid £80 to service my ped, but aslong as it keeps ur warrenty void!

3200 miles tho, thats more than a plug and oil. maybe not alot more but the airfilter might want a clean, and grease up the moving parts or sundries as my old garage called it

Scott, I thought checks like chain tension and lube, tyre pressure and engine oil were standard checks they should* do or do they just do the bare flippin minimal they can get away with i guess

trist you should be doing chain tension and lube checks yourself every week!

id never let any mechanic near any of my bikes, tbh there isnt much i cant do on 2strokes i cant think of anything i cant do or havent done. and if i cant do it my dad will be able to. My Dad learnt by trial and error and reading books and has tought me all i no, so what are seen as big jobs to some people i.e fork seals or something like that ive done 20times before. But then you get another 16year old that struggles to tighten a chain its just likeBut ye service it yourself, get a haynes manual or even the owners manual
1st service was £40 for me and £120 there after (for my 125).
