Where Can I get a SportCity 250

Hi Folks,
I will not bore you with the details of how I decided the SportCity 250 is the bike for me (In addition to my Beemer, that is). Being an engineer, I went through the Vespa GTS, the Piaggio BV 500, and finally to the SportCity.

I live in south central Virginia, so there is no Aprilia dealer near. Luckily, there is a Piaggia/Vespa dealer an hour away, so I can get service. I have found two SportCitys fairly near, of course, I want gray, and they are both black. One is in Burlington, NC, the other in Swannanoa, NC. Neither dealer seems to want to give me the time of day. I told one dealer I want to get the smaller of the two available removable top cases, color matched. He said "I dunno...I never seen one. Aprila accessories are a little hard to get."
Having owned a Ducati, I realize what it means to buy Italian.

To get a Piaggio BV250 from the dealer in Charlottesville would make the most sense, even though I fully realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I just do not like the way it looks.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps you thought this was a rhetorical question? I had not intended it to be. Maybe I should wait until spring, since it is getting fallish anyway.

i'll chime in but will be of little, if no, help. my dealer has two of them in his showroom. but that showroom is about 1100 miles from you, and worse, neither is gray.

Scootopia in Louisville, Ky has a gray one. Maybe a dealer swap could be arranged. Who knows? As far as the top box, I just got the small black one for my Shot gray Sport City and I think the original color looks o.k. But, you can always go to any paint shop and have it painted to match. That's what my scooting buddy with a Burgman 400 did. Silver scooter, silver box, silver helmet. Too much silver if you ask me (but you didn't) Good luck.
