Sounds like a bit of a crap question but, how hard is a full bike test?, after riding an rs50 for a year would i find it much easier when im used to using gears? what kind of things do you have to look out for during a test? , cheers in advance

look out for.....pedestrians, cars, dogs, cats, old biddys on scooter things, signes, road markings, potential hazzards.
then u have to do your hazzard preception test, u gota make sure ur gearing is correct for each corner, u have to make sure ur road position is always correct, u have to complete about 3,000,000 life savers before each corner lol
they are realy strict, u can fair by leaving ur indicator on 2 long!!!!

in teh same situation as you on my 17th bday, wanted full bike test, went for it passed. Its easy if you have a good ride, take things slowly, having geared bike experience is a deffo big help, you know what gear to take corners in, relatively at least....
I did 2 days training then test, tbh i was ready for my test after a few hours of training...the other day was really just re-assurance. It isnt "easy" you have to be able to ride well, but if you do ride well, you should pass...
So what have you all gone up to/want to go up to?

How much is it to take the test?
"Power Is Nothing Without Control"
all depends on how much training you want, can be very cheap in some places, others dear, i spent 400 for a 3 day course, 2 days training hten test, that included any gear i needed and hire of bike for all of the 3 days, was a good exp in all, great fun!
£400 is about a mid-range figure, you can get it down to about 150
im getting a car sorted unfortuanately!!but im going to get a 400 in time for next summer, might even buy a winter project to keep me busy, as soon as im on the road with my boring car il get to work on passing my bike test im thinking vfr 400, id stretch to a slow 600, restricted though i just know id get cocky one day and come off if i left it raw lol
This is the way to do it if you're reasonably confident. Take a hit on the cost of training - it greatly improves your chances of passing because you're taught what you need to do to pass the test rather than how to ride.Originally Posted by RiejuR51
Trist -please hurry up, pass your test and get a Gixxer. I've not been to a funeral yet this year and I'm suffering withdrawal symptoms.
