Common problems/issues With RXV/SXV 450-550

Does yours have the stepper motor or was it an earlier model plated as an 09? You are the first one i hear off..

It's on an 09 UK plate, not sure about the motor to be honest - are there any visual clues?

The twistie bit on the left of the oil sensor is for a type III case, 09 model, the way to tell easily;

Don't worry too much...your's isn't a Type III engine, but the engine type has nothing to do with the stepper motor. The stepper was only used on the '09 and up RXV (Euro model) and MXV.

Hi everyone. I'm trying to choice witch motard bike buy for my self. Right now i have Ducati 848 and I'm usin it for racing only. I know this bike is draining money from my pockets, but I'm still happy with it. I wanna get motard for the streets now an maybe occasionally for track. I was looking arround and I really like the way sxv looks like and delivery power. My question is is it really that bed with maintenance ????? I don't wont spend tons of money. I'm caind off handy and so far doing small works on my bike by my self. I really like the way how you saying good things about bike performance but I'm don't know if I can afford it. Money tide this days(((( please ride your opinions whit bike I should stick to. I don't like drz400 the way they look like and not much power. Thanks a lot)

your from linden which is right by me lol im from hillside by union..
well when you get your bike ask for the took kit and ask them to derestrict it or it will only hit a top speed of 60mph and my vespa will be faster..
after you get her, dont jump on the gas just yet, take it easy for the first 300 miles... then you can punch it.
hold on tight though.

after when your ready for some more performance give me a call
