    Water in oil? Possible causes.

Other than a head gasket, what else could cause water to get into the oil?
Would a water pump seal leak water into the oil?

I appoligize, I'm sure alot of my questions have already been discussed. But the search feature is not working.
    thanks

Its looking like the water pump housing seal that Cal put a diag up on the other thread was the culprit

Its been run up to temp and all seems fine ( touch wood)

    The water comes from the
1)sealing between the engine crank halves.
    2)broken head
    3)cylinderhead gasket
    4)O-ring at the cylinderbottom

    NOT FROM THE WATER PUMP

Is that seal #8 between the motor oil and tranny oil the one that is commonly blowing causing the motor oil to fill the trans?

When you have gear oil in the airbox, not motor oil it can be the waterpump seal (11) which was the case with my RXV
