    powervalve

well wen i get to 8,000rpm the povervalve opens and the revs fly up to 11,000 as normal but it has stopped speeding me up its hard to explain the revs fly up but it wont go any faster and it does this in every gear any ideas what could be wrong?

That does sound very odd one! Could be clutch slip. From what you advised, I wouldn't really know unless I had a test ride.

Have you taken the powervalve out the cylinder and given it a good clean + bit of 2 stroke oil on the blade then pop it back in. From what you was saying, it sounds like the clutch is on its way out.

Has it always done this since you had it? Whats the milage? when was the last top/bottom end rebuild?

Are you getting no power atall after 8k? Or just like its restricted. If its like its restricted and not giving you much power after that revs, it could be that your powervalve blade needs a good clean?

    thats my guess

in my experience when a clutch is slipping the engine will revv alot more than usual! due to the fact its like pulling in the clutch slightly! think about it just for a second.

have you ever changed the gearbox oil?

    jets?

I would def put it down to the plates slipping! adjust the clutch using the special tool that aprilia gave you. Full guidelines in the owners manual.
