    Spoiler: Masterbike 2007

It looks like the MV Agusta F312 beat the Aprilia and the New Ducati 1098. In the first round then Smackdown the Yamaha R1 and the Triumph 675 in the final round. Well the crown goes from Aprilia to MV but at least it's Italian! Go MV!!

I'm interested in finding out how the Aprilia (2006 Masterbike winner) did against the new Ducati 1098 and if it was even close to the MV. Maybe the result will encourage Aprilia to get the new V4 to market sooner...

i browsed through that issue today, all i remember standing out about the Aprilia was "the brakes are good, but can be too good" and came out 3rd out of the 3 italian bikes (312, 1098, RSV). Nothing about power or etc in those + and - remarks

Yeah I was amazed that the RSVR [last years masterbike] article started with "The RSVR didnt fair well in this years masterbike competition" Got me thinking if this "masterbike" title goes out to whoever is willing to pay the biggest buck. How do you win then "not fair well" the very next year?

    Hey gentlemen
You have to take into account the Duc is the S version and not the stock 1098 versus the priller which has exhaust, ECU so it therefore has all the goodies!

Didnt they trash the Mille Factory before the end of the competition? How can they fairly compare the MV(or 1098 for that matter) to a basic RSVR?

    Talking yes a stock rsvr.....

the factory was in the gravel (they showed the picture) and hence the Aprilia was out of the running....
to be fair all of these superbikes are sooo close in normal use...
and the itialian bikes are so close...

it is -perhaps a bit political -yet masterbike is all about real TIMES and hence tha fastest bike measured over a complete set of riders...

would I take the MV- yes - to sell it and buy an aprilia (just as fast and more reliable)
    present
