So you can start the bike in gear, with the kickstand up & clutch pulled in. Otherwise the bike would have to be in neutral to start, even if you stalled in traffic during a launch.
Hopefully we are talking about the same switch...![]()

Does this actually work for you guys? My bike won't start in gear, even with the kickstand up and clutch pulled in.
Yea, it works for me. I stalled the motor quite regular when I first got it and so used it a few times (without realising of course!).![]()
The switch arrangement looks quite delicate to me though, a fine sprung steel 'finger' which actuates the button switch.
Maybe yours needs setting up stinky?
Mine starts up all the time with kickstand up and in gear with clutch pulled in.Originally posted by stinky

Could be it needs a bit of adjustment. I've done a couple of quick hunts for neutral already.
I'll take a close look at it today and see if I can get it functioning properly or if I'll need a trip to the deelah.
Found the metal tab that the pin on the clutch lever pulls in to actuate the plunger on the switch was a little off. 2 seconds to move it where it's supposed to be and it's sorted. Starts fine in gear with the cluch in now.
I'm going to have to find this switch then cause finding neutral most of the time is a f@#$ing pain in the A$$!!!! Can anyone take a digi pic to show what it is?
Working on it, Dvus....
Here you go. When the clutch lever is pulled in, the Pin on the clutch handle makes contact with the Metal tab, which pushes in the Plunger of the switch.
Another pic. Sorry about the angle and fuzziness - the tab is a thin rectangular piece of metal, and as MixR said, it's quite delicate.
