    Well that didn't take long...

Odo clicked round past 30,000 miles on the way in this morning. 13 months since new. Not bad eh? As Monoi advised when I first enquired on this forum "the Capo is built for long distance".

How appropriate it is that the weather has gone completely shite overnight with snow and ice all around, just like when I first picked up the old girl.

Well, here's to the next 30,000 miles...

    Thumbs up one tenth!

Congrats TOKI ..funnily I noticed my odometer this morning as I pulled into the carpark at work...it just changed to 3000 miles...dead on!
Shame about the weather..I think I have taken the liners out of my trousers a bit prematurely..I was not expecting snow this a.m..but several flurries on the way through town this morning...still summers comin'.

    Tokidoki,
You must be a full timer. My guess is 30,000 on my scoot somewhere the later part of of '08 and mine's an '02. Good for ya!
I guess if I add my cages to the mix, it's weel over 30 though.

Well done Tok, I'm about to reach 13000 in the next few weeks, after 2 years and 1 week.

Were it not for Aprilia the company/dealers, the experience would have been great.

Now that I threatened the small claims court, the coil has been miraculously agreed on warranty, but they are being difficult over the labour costs ! Apparently they are looking unfavourably on the fact that I changed it myself (time which I am not charging them for), although it would have taken them as long to find out which one was faulty in any case.

As I told them, I don't look favourably myself on a company who blames the customer for its own failings.

They really are a shower of shit.

my Capo is due up for 30000miles any time soon. Can't say I've had any problems that I consider detrimental.
The front wheel bearings had a to be replaced after 12000miles, the fuel connector thing happened, and the speedo sensor failed recently. Other than that a loose connection on the Starter relay, and consumables. For a bike in this price range you get a lot of bike for your money, and the fact it is up to UK salted roads for 4 months a year emphasizes how well this bike is made.

Good for you mate. Mines just on 5,500 at 10 months old. No problems with it (yet), and still riding with a grin. Was very impressed with it through the winter months (salt on the roads). Washes up a treat with no signs of wear.

Well since I started the thread, my Capo threw a wobbly and started blowing 30 amp fuses (see another thread) and is now at the dealers. I'm starting to wish I hadn't done that - consigned it to the dealer I mean. I'm pretty sure that with a couple of hours and a multimeter I have could have traced the fault. Its probably something minor and quite trivial. Bugger.
