    As in 'chains', D locks?

There all pretty 'use-less' if the thief has bolt cutters etc. Theres a vid on YouTube somewhere of them testing every lock on the market, the best one only lasted 15secs or somit stupid like that!

They dont really stop, they just slow them down!

Me personally i use a normal click lock on the front tyre, n a big thick D lock on the rear, with the steering lock on too! But again it wont really stop them, just slow them down!

    Rgrds, adam!

Today when people talk of "living through hell", it usually means that their appeal against unfair dismissal has been delayed, or the builders next door have been very noisy for several weeks. For the millions of soldiers in the trenches of the First World War, their experiences of Hell on Earth were beyond anything those of us born into Britain's most blessed generation can possibly imagine.

If they want it mate, theyll have it! Someone i know left his bike in the garage thinking it was safe and put his car infront of it, they broke into the car, moved it back, broke into the garae, knicked the bike, and put the car back!

Likes people have said, big d lock and disk lock! Steering locks are shite, easily snapped with a big tug!

i just have a nice chunky chain. make sure it goes tru the swingarm 2 if poss. as most have said, a lock wont stop someone having it, but if you have one they may be less likly to bother, and just go for one without one.

Well, i use stearing lock (Obv) back disc brake lock and front disc brake lock with alarm attached to it

Chains wise, in the bike shed, in between me and my dads bike, we have dug a big f*ck off hole, put a pole in it and filled with concrete, then have a big chain which geos from his front tyre and connects to my chain which geos around my front tyre and then connects around the pole. Infront of the 2 shed doors we have one of those metal pole things so you cannot push the pole down to be able to open the doors without the key... oh and a lock on the front of the shed, with an house alarm inside the shed. Anybody fancy trying to nick the bikes?? Oh and have a dog pen next to the shed.. me dog is a ( japanese akita )

For when i leave mine here, i made a brace in the ground out of a heavy duty steel joice. drilled three holes in it and stuck metal wire trhough it, dug a whole in the ground, secured it and whacked it in quick drying cement! Bobs your uncle!

ONGUARD are excellent. They even offer a free insurance policy of up to £1400 should someone manage to steal your bike with their top rated lock. There are conditions but it seems amazing. Even thatcham approved.

This is the one I got but the american version:

i live in SE london. full of pikey bike thieves.

at the moment its locked to two 15 inch wide concrete pillers which run floor to ceiling. a english chain quad link on the rear wheel to one and a thick linked oxford chain with a mamoth lock though the front to the other. and oxford junior disk clip on the back and a small master chain though the front wheel and forks. its alarmed and immobilised with two covers an nice one and a tatty one on top with a padlock through the middle eyelits. now its still stealable but it would take a good 20 mins unless you bought a disk cutter and didnt mind being loud!
