    lots of great rides

    West of you.....
    just be aware here of the sand you will find in the canyons...
    be careful riding hard into the many blind corners

    until we get some real spring thunderstorms to wash away the sand and resulting dust....


    and when you find sand - not to worry -relax and get used to the step outs and front end push and the Mille will recover.....

    Exclamation April 2011 Canyon conditions

    Just a short note on the recent canyon conditions I encountered –and all of us must understand it is still April here in the Rockies. The recent snow caused me to find pervasive sand –in apexes and in corner entries – with enough occurrences to cause unwelcome step outs and surprises. This was Lee Hill, Left Hand, Peak to Peak and Boulder Canyons. I am confident Coal Creek, Golden Gate and other canyons in Colorado will be the same. Be careful and I would await the anticipated rains this week which should clean all of the canyons ….be safe out there

    Yep went for a quick blast on 24 towards woodland park.....same thing. bike stepped out 2-3 times at normal cornering speed.

    BTW norcolmille, put the bolt set on today looks GREAT on the silver. really compliments the ohlins components. thanks again.

    i still want to have aprilia get together sometime when everyone has some time. think it could be fun.

    What is even worse is that mag chloride residue crap that creeps out of the pavement under certain conditions. There was alot of that on the road from Morrison to Evergreen last time I went. I hate that shit, not only is it slippery but it like to ruin all kinds of vehicle parts. Haven't been up after this weeks rain but I'm hoping that it helped wash things up a bit. Hoping for some more spring down pours!
