Hey SF2, how about a few pics of your Falco?
Hey SF2, how about a few pics of your Falco?
Ahhh....
you would ask that.
here's my little soap opera.
I had a garage fire a year and a half ago. The CBR 1000 Hurricane burned and the Falco got sprayed by firehoses. I replaced the Falco oil and squirted Marvel Mystery Oil into the spark plug holes and the Falco runs.
but...
all the bodywork to the Falco except the front fender and the seat/tail piece melted into a Dali-esque sculpture.
So now my Falco looks like it was in the first Terminator Movie. But I like that style.
I did find a _bitchin_ Nano polish that got all the smoke stains off the bare metal that resisted all other cleaners.
So...
I haven't taken any photos yet. I'm looking at doing that this weekend (cuz I have to take some to sell the CBR 1000, the 1975 Honda CB550 and the 1984 Moto Guzzi V65.
the only bike that "burned" was the Hurricane 1000 but the only damage is the wires and the body panels.
Meanwhile, I found out a co-worker is _deep_ into Vintage bikes and used to have a Guzzi Ambassador and knows what Laverda's are. I like that.
Anyway,
I while throw some pics up of Terminator Falco after this weekend.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt.
Glad it wasn't worse.
The orange show bike is actually a slight modified falco. Aprilia wanted people to think it was the new sfc 1000 but Laverda fans called it the laprillia. Brand died shortly after...too bad, the zane bikes were beautiful!

I was just posting on another part of this board (or RBBII) about this very topic - I only bought my 99 750S cuz it was a Lav. I really wanted a 1000cc v-twin. So I was actually interested in this laprilia even tho it wasn't done by Pierro or Massimo.

That show Laverda pic looks like it was taken at the 2003 Milan show. They had about 6 stunning women showing the bike off. Many did not notice the bike at all, I'm sure.
The other Laverda is a '79 Jota (assuming the frame colour is correct) with a British RH gear shift, drilled discs (originals were solid on that model) and an aftermarket or modded cover with SFC style oil filler. Very nice indeed.
The stock market is tanking so I should sell one and buy some stocks while they are cheap...but I don't wanna!![]()
I think you should keep the Ferrari and sell the Laverda.......to me!
How much?
348 GTB, one my fav's. Are you the guy in Dallas who recently but a GTB up for sale with 86k miles on it by chance?

First time I saw this bike, I fell in love eventhough I'm not crazy about orange. 16 years later I bought a British 3 cyl 955 cc. Needless to say love ever inch of it. I wish I had had the cash wayyy back then to buy the Laverda... Oh well, my wish was partially fulfilled.
Great Laverda, enjoy a pic of my Old faithful![]()

Hey Red.
A few years ago I was talking to a guy in front of Dudley Perkins Harley Davidson (San Francisco) during a street fair. We were discussing the virtues of Laverda ownership. He mentioned that he had owned a Jota back in the day. And now he owned a Triumph Triple. This gent told me that the Triumph didn't have the "idiosincracies" that the Laverda had but that the Triumph was still and "angry" motorcycle. Which sounded good to me.

Hmmmmmm. Drum brake front. Jota engine?? I think the engine looks too recent to have been stock with a drum brake? Is it a genuine racer or a replica? why are you omitting details? My brain is itchy from ommission.
