TP 75cc Kit

I was wondering, I was planning on getting this kit but noticed it has a 14:1 compression ratio. I am not too knowledgable about 2 stroke engines yet, but I know in a 4 stroke you can have problems with detonation with this much compression. Is the 14:1 kit streetable with 93 octane?

One more question. I noticed in a previous thread on my 2001 RS50 i can adjust spark timing easily by adjusting the coil behind the flywheel. Does advancing the timing also increase the chance of detonation. Thanks.

The TP75 runs perfectly. That kit retains the exact same compression your stock cylinder has. I though it was 12:1 I might be wrong though. Your ability to change your timing will depend on what year bike you have, if 2001 you should be able to adjust timing but wait till you fully modify before you start messing with timing.
