Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum and may have placed this thread in the wrong part? anyway here goes. We recently purchased an Aprilia 125 Classic, We're told it's an import and manufactured in c1999 on a 05 plate, anyway my question is, do these bikes have a main fuse fitted anywhere on them? the reason I ask this is that my wife went to the bike this morning and it was as dead as the proverbial doornail. The battery (which is new) was checked and showed to be fully charged. Switching on the lights did nothing as trying the horn also. It was as if the battery had been disconnected. If anyone can help it'd be really appreciated.

Cheers,

Steve.

I bought the RS about 3 months ago in mint condition, was owned by a slow looking young dude and looked (and feels) like it had barely been ridden!

The first thing I did was go for a 15 tooth sprocket which helped but now I am much more in touch with the bikes power curve I plan to go back to stock gearing to get more top end speed.

Then I got some GB Moto Rear sets which are really comfortable and feel a lot more stable on the bike now compared to the previous stock setup.

Second up was the Zeeltronic to clean up the ignition and it has made a huge difference in the smoothness of the curve. Hard to explain but although it feels slower, it's a lot smoother and you are actually faster and feel much more smooth/stable rather than having a wack of power band all of a sudden.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzQItCqrqU8

I also got the quick shift which I have only just installed and it is by far the most fun I have had on two wheels! I took her to a nice twisty road (Royal National Park, Sydney, Au) and had a hoot blasting through gears like no tomorrow! Sounds really great too, going to experiment with the kill time on the weekend to get the best results, I found that at first it wasn't engaging properly and it popped out of gear once or twice, now I just hold it there for half a second or so instead of just kicking it.

My plans are to leave engine stock till I have had more experience with the bike so the next real mod will be an Ohlins rear shock and some carbon sexy carbon parts for some street bling from Verosini and Tyga.

Plans for the power plant to start with is the usual the exhaust, carb and reeds...

Anyways, will post updates etc as they happen
