Remember to service and lube your rear suspension linkage more than once every 25,000 miles. I recently bought an 03 Capo and the rear end seemed a little strange. After owning a Mille for 10 years I thought about the linkage 'cause its an issue with those too. After taking it apart, I found that the needle bearings were basically dust. :bangwall: Fortunately, for some reason I had a packet of needle bearings in my box of spares that fit. I have no idea what size they are but they work. My weekend was almost ruined but saved by a huge chunk of luck.

Don't let this happen to you.

We've discussed the virtues (or lack thereof) of the new Stelvio, Cali 1400, Triumph Tiger 1200, etc. But it's all becoming moot for me. This year's trip to Barber in October will likely be my last cross-country on the Capo. My back and sciatica problems have worsened to the point that walking is extremely painful, and standing completely upright is impossible. Mayo Clinic has attempted various things which have all failed, I'm now told my condition isn't treatable, and I will not submit to open back surgery or any of the pain relief quackery out there. So with 45 years of riding coming to an end in the foreseeable future, it just makes sense to hold onto the '02 Capo till it's over. Actually, I've been riding an old Honda 750 lately, because it's a lot lower and easier to mount/dismount. So it's possible I'll sell the Capo after October and not replace it.

Was helping my friend move home when you all where in Wales. We packed everything but an unwanted curtain pole in matt black. Thanks to Stanleybobly for the idea he posted recently, I converted the curtain pole into a Sat Nav bar above the clocks. This is the place where I always wanted my Sat Nav to hang... just below my view and straight ahead.

The TomTom is holding by a metal sheet cut from a rail bracket bought from Wickes for £1.65. You can actually cut six pieces from this. I shaped it round the bar and bolted it to the TomTom holder.

So there you go... if you do not want to spend £70 on a bar... go to Ikea and buy a pole for £2 :lover::lover::lover:

Now I got a question for you :) ... I have the holder for my mobile, however, the bracket is pure shite, in fact it snapped on the first use. The mount is metal and good. What recommendations do you have for the mobile holder? My Sony is waterproof.
And here is the curtain pole attatched to the Caponord. ;)
I chose the fuse box mounting, as it had two mounting screws, so with a bit of tin bashing I made a plate that would bolt on top of the original fuse box cover. It might look from the photo that I have stuck it directly onto the fuse box clover, but it is fact stuck to an aluminium plate that is held in place with two longer bolts to the original fixing points.<img src="http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=221529&d=1368643242&thumb=1" border="0" alt="Click image for larger version.

Here is one for the collective wisdom. I have a 2003 Capo with the factory heated grip kit installed. The kit included a replacement flasher relay which has now failed. A call into AF1 shows no replacement part listed by Aprilia (AF1 is looking into it for me). The part is an FR-103 relay rated 12.8VDC 85 C/M, 21Wx2+5W, (21Wx4). It has a click slip connector unlike the prongs sticking out of the stock relay. The wiring harness which was included in the heated grip kit does not have the stock type relay connector.

Any ideas where I can find a replacement or for a work around solution?

Thanks
