• AF1 Racing 2012 RSV4-R APRC Racebike Build

Doing this project for a customer on the East coast.

brand new 2012 RSV4R in black

    adding
    Catalyst Bodywork
    Leo Vince full system
    Race Mapping
Ohlins cartridge kit for the Sachs (just arrived in USA)
    Ohlins TTX shock Gen 2
    Ohlins damper
    520 chain kit
Rizoma rearsets with a GP shift mod
GB case guards -- both sides
    Graves framesliders
    safety wire, coolant flush

got it all torn down, and have been working on the build back up the past few days. I weighed it completely stock with battery (no gas), and passenger pegs, and it weighed 446 lbs. Curious to what it will weigh when we are done.

some pics....I forgot to take a picture all-stock, but here they are:

Builds are my favorite kind of forum posts. Keep up the pics. Any chance you are changing the top yoke and relocating the ignition switch? I'm still trying to find a clean way of doing this.

Nice! Like to see what your build will weigh. Guess when I get done I'll do the same & post up. Hmmm, guess I need to do a thread on my build.

This is a R model, so those settings remain stock

This guy didn't want the kickass Samco RED hoses with this setup? I would have sold him on those bad boys since he's doing all this. Nice setup too. Now you make me want to order a 520 kit. What chain and sprockets are you using for the 520 kit?

This is perfect! I'm right in the middle of doing the exact same build on my 11R APRC. Ed, where are you going to mount the regulator and control box that are on the left side inner fairing? Pictures would be great too.

I'm putting the reg/rec on the front of the upper fairing bracket, behind the dash....not sure about the APRC box yet, maybe just below the throttle cable/tps box right there. Project is held up on bodywork...Catalyst is a little behind on production

Ed, can ya let us know where you decided to put APRC box. The cable is not that long....options are limited. A photo would be nice.

Courious .. the "APRC box" is it a contained plug-n-play system? Does that mean it can be retro fitted to a 2010 non APRC RSV4? I assume the APRC is worth the money or is there a benefit to be without?
