oil change questions

just did my first oil change and have a question or three
-are you guys draining all the oil just with the drain plug and filter cover? or having to drain the oil tank also.

-how are you checking the level afterwards withe the bike running or warm it up then shut it off and check it?

I usually drain both the engine and the gearbox at the same time.

Then I take out the drain bolt underneath the engine and two hexagon bolts on the left side of the engine close to the gear sprocket.

Just remember to put oil in the gearbox, fill up on the right side of the engine.

Prime the oil filter housing when you change oil filter.

Same 10/ 60w oil on both engine and gearbox

but what about the oil tank behind the front fender, are you draining that also or is that draining when you take the other plugs out?

The pipe union is at the very bottom of the tank, so gravity helps you drain .
