SXV for first bike

My friend is buying his first bike, he wants a SXV 5.5 but he knows NOTHING about riding etc. So you think its ok to buy the SXV for the first bike?

He's 172-5 cm height so i was wondering, is it comfortible standing, getting on and off etc etc?

I don't knwo how tall 172 cm is.....but the main thing to consider is this.....how much self control does he have? In the end that is the key, not the bike. This is a bike he can certinly grow into and be happy with for quite a long time. I find most people end up disliking thier "starter bike" quickly because they grow out of them rapidly and have to buy a new one.

In reality, he would probably like this bike much more if he got a cheap DP bike or dirt bike and learned on that first.:cheers:

If he keeps it restricted yeah prob ok but will need to know a little about basic maintinance...but if unrestricted this thing is a wheelie machine and very twitchy...

tell your friend just to take its time, no hurry.
