it's gonna be long, so short report is that it's fucking awesome and I would be completely happy selling my factory and having this as an only bike or trading it in to have another one. Total HOOLIGAN machine, I've had to put all of my leo buddies on speed dial :D

full report tomorrow I swear

OK, so tuesday was my pick up day, I finished work on monday around 6:00 and went home packed my bags played with the dog for a bit and let him do his nightly duties. Then loaded up the truck and headed for the ferry to get my ass their. And this is where it gets a bit shitty, so like I said I'm headed for the ferry boat and don't I see my "lady friend's" truck parked at her ex's pad and it dawn's on me why the bitch hasn't been answering the phone the past couple of days :gunner: :gunner: (just what I want to think about while on a 4 hour drive at night by myself) and the worst part just before I left work I sent the @&$% some ftd flower's (for no particular reason, just to let her know I was thinking about her :nutts: ) So at this point I turn the truck around head home and choke the shit out of my self with a nice big binger hit and severly change up the music selection, and head back to the ferry. So I hit VT at about 9:45ish and for the next 3.5 hours or so tried to zone out and not think about the biotch. First I killed em all and then I rode the lightening for awhile eventually mastered some puppets and finally raged against the machine while battiling L.A. :D So I hit a hotel about 1-1:30 and turn the tube on to metzger and some other twit doing a freestyle biker build off :spankie: tried going to bed around 2:30, well that didn't work for shit, I know I saw 5 am come around on the clock. And of course I was so excited the next morning that I even woke up early, so at this point I'm dragging ass and get to Seacoast and unfortunately I was like the third person there so I had to wait a bit, then took care of the paper work and all the other :bs: loaded the truck and beat that bitch all the way home. Got back around 4 and I had to finish the day out at work.

Once work was over it was time for the intial ride. WOW I've never ever had such a hard time keeping a bike under the rev range, for break-in purposes, until this bike. It was very hard for me not to fleece it everywhere I went. I'm so surprised at how nimble the bike is and the power delivery is amazingly smooth. I really thought it would be under powered for such a big rear tire, but that's not even close to true. Just leaving the parking lot I pulled an unintentional stoppie pulling up to the road, so the brakes are definitely phenominal. I put 65 miles on it the first night and went to all the close roads I could think of that were hilly or twisty, we've even got a one lane traffic circle which was perfect for scrubbing in the new tires until johnny law showed up and didn't like that I was going around the traffic circle in the wrong direction. But officer I need to break in the tires and the bike :D it also helped that he was a friend and loved to ride. 1st and second gear wheelies are virtually effortless, I mean this bike is truly a hooligan special and like I stated in another thread I would be completely happy owning this bike only and selling/trading the factory. I've since put on another 45-50 miles on it and really need to stop because my oil filters haven't shown up yet so I haven't changed the oil yet.

now the negatives
-needs a bigger gas tank (but of course I don't want it to weigh any more)
-kick stand seems dangerous, it snaps up real fast ( but of course I don't have a better design)
-eccentric shift lever would be nice, neutral is to easy to find (it could be my boots are to small, but I'm sure if i rotate the lever down on the shaft it will be fine)
-eccentric brake lever would be nice (samething just rotate down on shaft)

As you can tell I'm really reaching to find any negatives about the bike

And in the positive catagory I put the entire bike, way to go APRILIA :worship: :worship:

duc slayer

yeah I forgot about the cold blooded part and I've noticed that some people don't think it would be a good commuter bike and I disagree. But everyone has a different commute, mine's only like 5 min's if I'm late or 10 if I'm early and the lights are pretty spaced out. I mean shit there's less than 30k people here so had bad can the commute be right

DucSlayer,

I loved your story. I hope to pick up mine this weekend and will have to drive from SoCal to NorCal to get it. I did the same when I picked up the Factory. The anticipation gave me the energy and a rip was in order. Hopefully thinking about the ol lady didn't weigh too heavy. They can really fuck with your head. Mine hates competing with my first love - motorcycles.

I was recently in SeaCoast when they had the hollow RXV. They seemed at a loss without Clarkie.

Kregg and I have been buddies for almost 20 years. I'll go up and see him and we'll dial in the bike. Seriously though, I need to come up there to ride the back roads sometime soon. You can show me where they're at.
