right i have just fitted a race am6 engine into my supermoto project with the following specs

Mk prorace 70cc (flowed and ported)
MK prorace 70cc crank
MRD gearbox
Mk limited editon pro race 70 pipe (modified by ummm..... i cant remember lol)
flowed 28mm intake manifold and matching flowed reed block
pvl inner rotor ignition (no lights)
MK clutch kit
Mk primary drive kit
15/48 gearing

power band starts at rougly 14500 and hits a brick wall at 16000
any guess on the power output?, it mussed be a bit because i can wheelie it through 1st and 2nd with the 15/48 gearing!!!!

cheers

17,5 HP?

Btw, That it has no more power at all over 16000 Rpm is because even the stiffest reeds start to float at +-16000 Rpm

its a malaguti xsm but with dt50r side pannels a metalic blue spray job with white number boards and im contemplating a yz graphics kit as it only takes a bit of triming.

will post photos when its finished :)

Be sure that you replace the stock 5mm yellow powerbands with racing 25mm pink top prefomances powerbands. That should have been done first imo. I don't know why so many people wait to do that last. Just by swaping the powerbands you can get a good 3-4 bhp even on a stock rs50. And plus its free!

If you want more power, isn't there a way to elminate the reed valves?

Yeah, glue them shut. :kidding:

Reeds are perfectly ok till 15000+rpm, Just need to find the right stiffnes for them.
