hi i got a SXV 5.5 derestricted.

i think it's good.

but,

reading a deutch forum, a guy wrote his 5.5 was so jerky at low speeds and the engine backfired at low rpms.

then he got the on-off effect opening the gas from low rpm. ( i know the on off effect is a charateristic of both SXVs 4.5 and 5.5 )

forum readers replied that was badly derestricted and remapped in the wrong way with the Axone.

that, because the mapping must be made with the Condition Gas totally un-screwed ( loosen ).

if the mapping have been made in the right way, the bike would be more soft and regular during revs from low rpm.

so my question is :

how can i know if my bike was right mapped with the axone with the Condition Gas totally closed ??????

it seems good but it has a little the on off effect mine too.

i need some pictures of the Condition Gas, in order to ask more to my aprilia office service, thanx!!!

where it is this Condition Gas ????

Carlo

.....don't tell me it is the yellow button to keep the gas open to keep higher the minimum of the engine during the warming up of the engine :O

For those of you in the USA, like us here in NJ. As per my conversation with Brad in Aprilia technical service yesterday, I was led to believe that none of the US dealers have seen the correct Warlbro fuel injection cable to link the Axone to the RXV/SXV. Yes, you can do the other physical derestriction things that need to be addressed, but I was told that without this cable the throttle position re-learn cannot be accomplished as well as downloading the right map for an open stock exhaust that has been derestricted. Without the proper cable the Axone will not even communicate with the bike.

We were told that dealers should be receiving these cables by the end of next week.

the end of next week :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall: :bangwall: my B-day is next wednesday and I'd like to give myself a present other than some hooker's. There's got to be some electrical guru's around here that can just whip up a cable for us, no

The service guys here in Australia have all this stuff sorted which surprises me really. I would have thought you 'mericans would have been first to sort this shite out.

Anyways. Mine was how you described too. Jerky / on / off. That's until all the restrictors were taken out & it was re-mapped with the Termi settings from the factory. Now it's a real weapon all through the throttle range - IT'S AWSOME !! I don't even want to think how much better a 550 would be over my 450... I might throw up.
