I was just at my Farmers agent to change over to my new house and I moved my cars over to Farmers to get a discount. I was with State Farm for the cars and motorcycle.

I have a Tuono so I asked them to switch that over, but I was told that they consider it a 'Superbike/Custom' motorcycle and they have some other company that covers them. It would have been double the price of State Farm.

Anybody find the same problem for your Tuono or Mille?

same here with Farmers..I been with them about 4 or 5 years and they told me they would no longer be covering my Yamaha FZ1 or new Tuono (except unless I paid enormous rates!). So I told them where to stick it and went with State Farm on all my cars and bikes.

Bad move on their part I think, cause I dont have any accidents on file. I dont get it.

State Farm is a little higher on the cars, but cheap on the bikes, so it all worked out about the same in the end.

I am going to stick with the cars with Farmers cause of the multi car discount and my home insurance, but staying with State Farm for the bike.

There loss!

I'm not sure State Farm will do that...They told me they'd need my cars in order to cover the bikes. But maybe its different where you're at.

personally, I dont think Farmers deserves any of my business with that kind of attitude.

Well you were right on the money about State Farm. I will need to keep my motorcycle and the car together. So I guess Farmers will lose my wife's car and my car plus the bike all because they refuse to cover my bike.

What losers!

yep, serves them right. I will be changing my homeowners policy at the end of the year too to get even more of a discount.

I think Farmers would have been better served to simply screen their clients better at signup..ie no 18 yr olds on R1's, etc.

I have State farm on my house, but droped my cars and MC coverage with them because I was able to find insurance on my vehicles much cheaper. My cars are with 21st Century, and my FZ1 was with them also. I had previously been with GMAC for the insurance on my last three bikes (starting with my 96 Ducati), but made the switch to 21st Century for the FZ1 when they started offering mc insurance. 21st Century is new to the MC insurance market, and when I got a quote frm them on my Tuono Racing, they didn't even have a listing yet for the Mille. They had to send the quote request to their MC guys to do a little research before they could give me a quote. It came back high ($917.00 a yr). I shoped around, Proresssive ($1023.00 a yr), State Farm ($956.00 a year), and two MC insurance agencys (Mike Felder & Fern Ins Agency), and all were too high!. GMAC (formerly National General) came in way lower than anyone else at $694.00 per year, and that is with the $3000.00 accessory coverage I opted for which tacked an additional $105 to the premium ($1500.00 accys coverage is included, but I figured with all the expensive carbon pieces on the Racing, that I would make sure I was covered!). I first found out about GMAC when I was shopping for insurance for my 96 Ducati, and was getting quotes that were too damn high. Mike Felder gave me their name when he couldn't come up with a quote that was acceptable to me. Their phone number is : 1-800-325-1190. And for the person with the FZ1, try 21st Century (1-800-443-3100), as I was only paying $418.00 a year with them on my FZ1.

multi-bike discounts, and great rates for good riders with no record.

tuono is $375/yr, mille r was 359, my rc51 is 370 and my fz1 344/yr.

dropped state farm for the savings of 75%

20+yrs w/o ticket helps a ton, and no crashes.

also, 5k miles or less a year is put on each bike. statefarm covers my dirt bike.
