Can anyone recommend something to neaten up the rear end of an 06 Tuono? I don't really want to start cutting bits off. If I can buy it from the UK, even better. Thanking you muchly.

be more specific... it's already one of the cleanest tails in the business. Nothing really to buy. Are you speaking about the license plate holder?
If so, I easily sawed off the part the hangs below the plate. Cleans it up instantly, and you don't have to buy the relocator kit. If you don't like that notion, purchase the relocator kit by Evoluzione, as sold by AF1.

I just removed the existing plate hanger and replaced it with two small right angle brackets bolted to the two rear mounting holes. Bolted the plate direct to that and then attached the standard reflector to the bottom edge of the number plate. Bent the angle brackets so the plate is at a nice angle relative to the exhausts and tail section. Looks very clean and tidy and only cost $1.50. Will post a pic when I find my camera.

As chrisscaines mentioned above, here's one easy approach--cut off everything below the tag:

I have the same cans as you. I can not get them symetrical as they relate to the tail, visually, etc. Are yours hung symetrically, or is there a bit of an offset on each side, etc.? I'm kind of picky like that... it's off by about .25 or .50 on the right side.

Type in 'Tuono' in ebay.co.uk
There are 2-3 different people selling them at very different prices.
So they do exist as an aftermarket option.

I bought the evotech-performance one off e-bay for £34.99. It was priced middle of the road and their feedback looked good.
My replacement number plate should be here today, then I'll fit them and take a picture.
Won't be tonight mate, I'll be in the pub watching the boys dick Sweden :)

Mine were the same as yours untill I found out that the spacers where different sizes. Needed a bit of tweaking to get it right in the way of additional spacers, but now all is good.

I have the same cans as you. I can not get them symmetrical as they relate to the tail, visually, etc. Are yours hung symmetrically, or is there a bit of an offset on each side, etc.? I'm kind of picky like that... it's off by about .25 or .50 on the right side.
Mine are ever-so-slightly asymmetrical also but its not very obvious unless you're looking for it. I'll give mine a geometric tweak on some rainy day...I'm picky too. I don't hold it against Leo Vince though because the cans are so well made, have a g-r-e-a-t growl, and, by my calibrated butt, make more power! :D

Cheers, the reason I ask is I saw them on ebay and it got me thinking. I would rather fit something designed for the job than cut the reflector off just incase I want to sell it or change my mind. I'd appreciate the pictures when you have them.

I'm not one for hack-sawing bits off my bike. I'll probably put the original tail and number plate back on when I change the bike.
Hopefully have pictures on by the weekend.
My hangover should have gone by then :bangwall:

I've got the evotek one fitted too, along with a 7"x5" plate. Looks really nice.
Its the 2nd tail tidy ive had from them (other was for a ZX-6) and their really good quality, fits perfectly. No messing about or cutting. Bolts straight on.

it's not so much side to side tolerance difference, but up and down. about a half inch difference. Everything looks great, and how the cf hangers fit, I don't see how the cans can not be straight. Go figure.

Be careful with plates mate, make sure you get one made from the proper acrylic.
First one I bought was not. The plate information was stuck on the outside rather than the inside (back) of the plate, If you know what I mean :WTF:
That's ok till you drill it, the plastic will lift then.
So you want one like a regular plate.........but smaller.
Bought mine off ebay. Went for 8 x 6. Figured pc plod wouldn't mind as it was not stupidly small. Will upload photos this weekend.
Evotech mount fits perfect, as others have said :plus:

I bought a high quality license plate holder from AF-1 (listed under RSV section). The machined aluminum post bolts right into 4 stock holes under tail. Couldn't be easier and you can't beat the look. I also used my stock plate frame with it as a sturdy backing. The pictures I have are too big to load on this site. As soon as I figure it out, I will post.

I particularly like the shitty brown one LOL.
Not sure if I made a cock up attaching the picture of my bike, I could see it when viewing the forum at home, but I can't now at work.
The URL for the picture is www.splatty.ndo.co.uk/DSC00897.JPG. There is another one there but it's a bit big. That is a picture on the day I got her with the garage door size plate and hanger LOL

Insurance companies........move really fast when they want your premium.
Shame it's not the same when you need their help for a crash that wasn't even your fault :bangwall:
Let us know how it goes mate.
Suffice to say, a new Tuono will be heading your way soon.

Got it from Infinity in Clapham. Whilst i was in there a few days before i picked mine up, they had another matt black one waiting to go out. Think it was end of April/beginning of May. If it was yours, i clambered and drooled all over it....sorry. :)
