Anyone else find the seat extraordinarily UNcomfortable after about 100 miles in the saddle? I called Sargent and they have yet to get their hands on a new model Tuono to build a new seat for it.
Anyone know anyone making COMFORTABLE aftermarket seats for the bike yet?
Thanks,

Glen, I'm with you pal, the seat kills my ass after a couple of hours.
I kind of accept it though, the bike looks that damn agressive it's as though it wants to hurt you back a bit :)
I aint changing mine, I suppose you get used to it after a bit.
An ownership scar is how I think of it. A tuono tattoo for you ass :gunner:

Yup, about 100 miles is when it starts to dig in. The problem seems to be near the edges of the seat-pan. The foam is thin there, and I think the edges are digging into my lower butt.
I put a note in to Sargent as well. According to their site, they're still looking for an 04' RSV to build a seat.(anyone in the Jackasonville FL area) No Tuono in site, but maybe the same seat will work?
Oh, forgot the good part. The passanger seat is great. Finally had a good weekend, and got the wife back there for a couple of hours. No issues at all for her. And that's allways a good thing :)

JC,
I had the same impression when I looked at the passenger seat but haven't had the opportunity to get an opinion without riding to Oceanside.
I've pulled the cover loose from my seat and started to shape the foam to the contour of my buttocks. I have a little further to go, hoping I can get more width out of it as I take it down. I also shaved the front narrower so my short legs hit the ground better. It seems to help a little. I can go 350 miles without getting monkey butt.
A search for an aftermarket seat only came up with Corbin, :pissed: (only as a last resort). I had a Corbin Dual Touring seat on my VTX 1800 and didn't like it.
Looks are secondary for me. I don't have eyes in my butt!

I did my first 200 miles on Saturday with the new seat and my impression is that it's better than the old model. I found the whole bike more comfortable, less mind blast and better ergos.

The seat does get a little uncomfortable after a bit, but didn't notice it on Saturday on the twisties. Only on the boring slog back to London up the A3 did my backside start giving me grief. (220mile day)
My previous bike (05 ZX6) was exactly the same tho. Just gotta accept it i think as part and parcel of owning a sports bike. :)
