Low or High-mount cans for big feet

I understand high-mounts have less room (peg to can) to accomodate larger feet. I have size 12 or 13 Alpinestars, and the stock low-mounts are fine, but my heel does settle now and again on the heat shield.

My questions is: will I be SOL if I get the high-mounts or will I adapt, swing heels wide, etc? I would hate to spend $1000 and be melting my heels all the time, bumping, etc.

And still no one with big feets and experience with high mounts? :happy:
I use size 11-12(!), and like those Leovince Ti high mounts, but I am having the same doubts as thread starter.

Bef high mounts on mine offer much less foot room (I've got a size 12) and it is annoying. Looking at different rear sets but having trouble finding any with the right adjustments as I don't want to drop peg height (if anyone can help, would be appreciated). The Tigs also restricted my foot room, although not as much as the Befs. Just another problem of having large features I guess.

Leo Vince high-mounts going on tomorrow. Geez, I hope I don't regret the foot clearance. I did some visual measurements off of pictures and things and it looks like it is more in some areas... I will let everyone know.

Put some heat shields on to prevent boots from melting. My Sidi look like hell from riding R6 with a high mount Leo.

I just dropped the bike off for pipes, 15 tooth, map2, and the 600 mile service. They put one of the Leo Vince High-mounts on to test for foot clearance and they are fine. So guys out there with 12 or 13 size boots, go for the highmounts, they look sooooooo good.
