Went to check the T07 at the local dealer today.
Riding position was great. Looks very well put together with some nice high quality parts. Shame the seat wasn't one of them. That thing is rock solid. The bikes shipping to the US appear to have Metzeler Rennsport tires and not the Dunlops you guys in Europe get.
Maybe someone can clarify the warranty issue here in the USA. The dealer told me we would only get 2 year cover and not the 4 everyone else gets. :WTF:
Finally I'm glad I didn't order a FuoroRed sight unseen. Its more like FluoroOrange. How could anyone mistake that for red. To my mind its not far off KTM orange. Since I'm not partial to matt paint finishes I guess that leaves the Silver. Makes my life a lot easier.

To each their own on the colors I guess and not all seats fit all seats.

Agree with you about the red- theres one in our local dealers and everyone is saying the same- "its orange", the pics in the aprilia literature are a bit deceiving but hey some people like em like that.....

The seat aint the best in the world, but you get used to it, nothing that cant be sorted, a small price to pay I suppose.

My local dealer said he's not heard of a 4 yr warranty in the uk on the new tuono so your not on your own on that one, he's "looking" into it !!!. Will let you know if I have any luck on that one.

If any one has had any joy with the 4 yr warranty I'd like to know too.

you can activate the extra 2 years warranty on Aprilia's website. Just can't find the link at this moment, but I've seen it. Once you bought the bike you must enter the framenumber + activationcode (which you will recieve by mail) on this site. You must however have the bike's maintance done by a official Aprilia dealer during this time. At least that's the case here in the Netherlands. I think it's worldwide, afterall it's aprilia that gives you the warranty and not some US dealer.
I'll post the link when I find it.

The site is http://www.aprilia.com/enjoyme & all the instructions will come in the mail with the service card etc.

I guess Aprilia pulled the plug on the 4 year warranty. I clicked on the link above and an error appears. Can anyone confirm if its still possible to get the 4 years. How about you guys in the US. Anything arrive in the mail?

My dealer offered me an additional 3 years for $600. I politely declined, he didn't press it like other dealers do.

I'm liking the look of the scrappy black paint job. Roudy, yet refined.

I wish they made the new Tuono with that white color scheme! That'd be awesome!!!

I've sent some emails out regarding the warranty. We shall see.

Also, I bought the Fluro Red and I'm glad I did. There is a reason it leans more towards the orange side of the color wheel - they want to be different and not have a color like Ducati, MV Agusta, etc. Paul at GP motors told me it's because that color photographs better and stands out in group photo sessions, reviews, etc. Who knows. I love looking at it. I came close to buying the silver... but no cigar.

I thought the warranty was only for the RSV and not the Tuono.

Have spoken to Aprilia and they tell me the extended warranty is for RSV 1000 and Tuono 1000.
