we're nearing completion. WE should get our final electrical inspection sometime next week, and then the final building inspection sometime shortly after that. Then, we can legally open all parts of the building to the public. We're stuck in the warehouse and parts room for now.

Since the last pictures, the showroom ceiling and lighting was installed. We drywalled the whole area over the parts counter and added recessed lights and more flouro fixtures. The showroom and offices are less than a week from finished. We got the three A/C units working, we also cleand them (they were nasty dirty). We also updated the electrical in several offices, and fixed all the electric garage door openers. A professional door comapny wanted $600 to fix just one opener. We fixed the others, and we got a new higher HP unit for less than $200, and installed it ourselves......works like a champ. We now just drive up in the morning and drive right in the front door, and park.

The color scheme is also finalized. White walls, and ceiling. Bright red trim and door frames. A very bright (contains metal) aluminum bottom color, and dark grey doors. Some of the white looks yellow in the pics, but that is just the lighting.

The hallways and bathroom all got black/white checker board tiles. Ted and Jon layed all the tile, they even went trick and put the bathrooms at 45 degrees to the hallway. The offices are getting a dark grey carpet once everything is done. The parts shelves are stocked, we have lots of OEM parts in stock now. The customer bathroom is all done. Looks allot nicer than the painted pink and green tile they had. The city made us widen the door to 36 inches and install an ADA toilet.

The shipping area is setup. And our Aprilia sign is in the front window...our CapoNord is parked on the showroom.....we're so ready for new bikes and new parts direct from Aprilia.

A Capo in the showroom? HMMMMM. Will definitely have to make a run over your way IF AND WHEN I get my Atlantic back. Capos may be the only Aprilia bike "bigger" than mine that I can actually ride, with the possible exception of the Pegasos. But they don't do a thing for me.

No way I can afford a new one. $10k+ puts it out of my price range but who knows, used maybe?

Congrats on the new digs. Looks like it's going to be a real class showroom. I'll plan on riding over from Houston this spring to check things out first hand.

Keep up the good work !

scoll up and down quickly over that black and white tile in the hall and you get a weird bulging effect.

That is awesome, guys. I'll be making a run down there to check the new place out in a couple of weeks. I'm glad things are coming together for you in NB, but damn I miss the convenience of having you in Austin.

This week has been awesome....lots of very good news

PiaggioUSA stopped by.....everyone left that day with very big smiles.....

The showroom ceiling was finished today....looks great. Nice, clean, and bright.

We setup a paint spray booth outback for all the doors...painted 15+ doors, and all the cabinet doors, everything got 2-3 coats. An professional airless paint sprayer is da bomb (thanks to Aprilia 250 racer Clay S. for the loan on that bad boy).

The city building inspector signed off on all the building and electrical finish out yesterday (he even complimented our work). The fire inspector comes Monday or Tuesday next week (everything they requested is already done), and then we're 100% legal with the city.

The floor guy is coming Monday to strip, seal, and wax the terrazzo floor in the showroom. He said it should shine like a mirror. Its gettting 5 coats of wax. The window people will come later in the week to scrape and clean the inside and outside of all the glass, and make it all sparkly clean. Then, we can use our vinyl plotter to do all our window logos and lettering. We also found a carpet guy who is going to hook us up, so all the offices will be carpeted soon too.

some things left to do is move some shop equipment from the warehouse into the service dept and set it up, move our desks into our permanant offices on the showroom side, fill up the showroom with lots of brand new aprilias, and keep planning the largest Aprilia motorcycle and scooter gathering in the World. Mark your calendars for May 13-15, and be here. It is going to be big!!!

What an awesome week we had.....the excitement and energy level of all the guys (Micah, Jon, Steve, Ted, and I) really picked up this week....it feels like its really happening now.....

Ed,

Any pics of the front of the building - so we know if we're there yet?

Looks great! Is the red trim the same color as the aprilia logo?

The first posts here (http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72827) have some pre-spiffed pictures of the exterior.

Hi all,
I got back from San Antonio last night. I had a really long day or else I would have posted about the trip then. I went by AF-1 and hung out with Ed, Jon, and Micah for a while. The place is huge. Compared to the old shop it's humongous. It's cool too, with all these rooms that open out from the show room and main shop area. It's almost James Bond like in that respect, with a suprise behind every door. I took a few pictures of the place but I figured you guys had seen almost everything from the pic posted here. Before I left, I saw Micah's AK-47 box that he "doctored" as a joke. That's some funny shiat Micah! I'll post pictures of that here once I manage to download from my camera. Thanks Again AF-1, hope I can make the grand opening.......sean
