Sunday, 8/24, San Francisco Bay Area Aprilia Ride!

I just wanted to let everyone in Northern California know about the upcoming Aprilia ride on Sunday, August 24. Aprilia and the Northern California Bay Area Aprilia dealers will be organizing a ride for all Aprilia owners on that date. There was high interest after the June inaugural ride to do another ride. So, to make this ride special, Aprilia will be providing prizes. I read the draft of the flyer that will be available at all Bay Area dealers shortly. These prizes include Aprilia racing replica helmets, Aprilia racing leather jacket, and two MotoGP tickets. I know, there may not be a MotoGP in the US in 2004, but Aprilia has committed two tickets to the next MotoGP event in the US. Hopefully, one will be at Mazda Raceway.

Aprilia riders will meet at their local dealer early Sunday morning, and then we will converge to Alice’s. We will be able to talk, eat breakfast, brunch, etc. Then off for a ride to Santa Cruz. I’ll post details with the exact time to meet and other information as they become available.

Come join other Northern California Aprilia owners on Sunday August 24th for the first organized West Coast Aprilia owners street ride. This ride will originate at your local Aprilia dealer, where you and others will ride together to meet at the famous Alice’s restaurant in Woodside or just meet us there at about 10:00-10:30am. We will meet for some grub, bench racing, and your chance to wind some cool Aprilia swag. Some of the swag includes Two Aprilia Racing helmets, leather Aprilia jacket, and two free tickets to the 2004 US World Superbike Races at Laguna Seca. Prizes will be given away based on Aprilia owners with the Highest Mileage, Cleanest Bike, Furthest Traveled, Most Original, and Most Thrashed Bike. Following the swag giveaway, we’ll all fire off our non-desmo twins and thunder away for fantastic ride through the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains and along HiWay 1.
