I just got the call from Keith....

Graham Edward Allen, born 1-06-06, 8.5 lbs.
Says he's hung like a horse....unlike dad.

Mom and future MotoGP champ are both doing well.

On a side note: I'll be needing a new riding buddy now -- applications are now being accepted!

Thanks for all of the well wishes. We made it home from the hospital this evening around 7pm, and spent some long overdue quality time with the big sister. She's going to be quite a helper for Mommy. Here is the latest picture of my clan.

GREAT picture, Keith. You are truly blessed by God with a beautiful family.:)

Okay, you've got the boy and the girl, time to get snipped?;)

Trust me, there's nothing to it, except the part about shaving your balls and then having them painted orange for the procedure!

Glad all is well Keith. I can't believe your wife has already taken pictures. I also can't believe how much Ruthie looks like mom (good thing). Maybe we can pit together when Graham & Alex (my new one) are swaping paint on the pocketbike scene.....

I agree with point one, it is a great picture. :plus: :plus:

I have a problem with point two. How come it is the guy who has to get the plumbing disconnected?

Point three will be more fun if the nurse (female of course) does the painting.

Mrs. FP did the shaving. (Which led to some serious pre-surgery fun, I might add!   )

Sadly, a male nurse did the painting.:bangwall:   :pissed:

my doctor told me he'd give me half off of the price if the nurse could cut the first one.

One theory is that if my wife dies and I remarry, my new wife may want kids. But I say this kid thing is just one phase of my life. I want it to happen, enjoy it, and move on to the next phase... It's less intrusive for me to get snipped than for her to get tied, so that's the way we are going to go.

I've heard it's not that bad once the swelling goes down...

falco03
01-09-2006, 06:20 PM
it's not bad at all. swelling wasn't bad for me. hell, the same night i had it done i hopped a fence to let someone's dog into their house.

Oh, you haven't seen the video on our website?

As for the aftermath of the "snipping", everyone told me, "there is nothing to it..............ZERO pain WHATSOEVER!!!". For the first FIVE DAYS my right nut felt like someone was kicking it every five minutes around the clock. Agony. I finally went back to the doc because eveyone said that it was painless, I thought something was wrong with me. The doc said everything was fine and the people who were telling me they'd been pain free were either lying or they didn't remember what it was like. People like me come into his office everyday thinking something is wrong because of the post-operative pain.

But, since the first five days I've been painfree for 6 years now.....KOW.

One theory is that if my wife dies and I remarry, my new wife may want kids.

WOW, is that a conversation you've actually had with your wife? I cannot imagine. "Gee honey, ya know you may die really soon and I really don't want to give up the chance of knocking up someone who is probably a complete stranger to me right now, but IS out there and I'll probably be calling HER my wife after YOU'RE gone. Oh and I guess that means that she'll be raising YOUR children and they'll call HER mom also." If I were to have brought that one up to Mrs. FP before the "snip", I sure as hell would never have made it to the stage of "Falco Owner", and I would not be typing this long rambling post right now. That would be hard to do while taking the dirt nap.

You da man, Keith.:worship: :worship:

I had my cut done on Valentines Day coming on 3 years ago. I had it done under general anaesthetic, as that was the way my surgeon would do it, only. My first day was a bit uncomfortable. The second day I was jack hammering an old concrete path out, and moving the broken concrete with a wheel barrow. I have heard some horror stories though from a couple of friends. It is reversable so the argument re if you die, you may want kids with your new wife doesn't gel, IMHO.

When the doc told me do you really want to do it and you should think it over I just said forget that, and JUST DO IT!!!!!! :D :D Certainly less invasive compared to a what a women has to go through.

Actually, she is the one that brings that stuff up. I get the ole "Honey if I died, would you remarry?" question sometimes. Of course, if you say yes she gets mad, and if you say no she asks if I am unhappy in our marriage... No it's really not like that. My wife's a planner, and she is always putting herself in crazy "what if" situations just to ease her mind that she knows what she would do in that situation. Kind of crazy, but it's that kind of forethought that makes her a great mom! We've nailed down pretty much every question except to bury or cremate. We both say we don't really care, once we are gone it doesn't matter what happens to that body we used to call a home! So that one is still open-ended...
