Anyone changed thiers yet, mine are holding up pretty good yet with almost 14K on them, but soon enough they will need replacement. Has anyone changed their pads from the stock ones to something different, have you noticed more wear on the rotors, I always assume better brakes either means shorter brake pad life or shorter rotor life, shorter brake pad life I can live with, if I get better braking, shorter rotor life however is unacceptable. So far I have had no problems with my rotors no pulsing and the stop me nicely. If and/or when the day comes to replace them I'll probably go to those cool ass wave rotors anyways, But I don't hope to expedite that process. Really I don't need any better braking, and have no reservations putting the replacement stock pads back on, but seeing that this is basically a "free" upgrade I thought I'd look into it.

I also assume there is no special challenges to changing these brake pads, something I should be able to do with my metric sockets

I recently installed the EBC HH pads with 9K on the stock rotors. Time will tell about rotor wear but I'm very happy with the braking. Had to do some serious braking in torrential rain recently
to avoid panicking car jockeys & they worked great.

This is apples and oranges comparison but might be useful information. Inatalled Ferodo HH pads on a BMWR1100RS which resulted in noticeable rotor scoring within 600-800 miles. Maybe they have changed their pads since but I'd rather have wear in the pads than see that degree scoring in the brake rotors.

Just my experience, maybe others have had more success with that brand/type.
