Has anyone installed an alarm system on the Capo?

They tried to steal my friends Africa Twin, removed the ignition to immobilise the steering lock.
Luckily he was on his way out and they must have heard him coming.
Apparently the Lserline is quite good.

Any suggestions?

I've had a Laserline on my previous bike, a Bandit 600, for allmost 6 years. My experiences:

- when you drop the transmitter, the led breaks easily. I had to replace it twice.

- I've had a glass bulb broken in the alarmunit.

- When you park the bike on the sidestand, the wind triggers it easily.

Besides this no problems accured.

I installed the Scorpio on my CN. you are able to arm it with or w/o the optional and very sensitive perimiter sensor. also ordered the relatively bulky pager. my only qualm with it is the lack of an LED on the bike to let you know that it is armed. Mathematically, you are only able to leave it armed and unridden for 7 or 8 days before you lack the juice to get her started again. Still, I am going to pack my Kryptonite Faghettaboudit chain when I leave state next week.

I have installed a meta systems alarm on my beaty for almost a year now. No problems whatsoever. Note that i am riding my bike on dirt quite a lot and this year was a rainy one. No probs with the alarm even when i left it armed for 20 days ...all ok. The only problem is to tune the sensor not to be so sensitive otherwise all ok.
