Of the three color options, what's your pick?
Gray
Black
Red

Next friday i go to the dealer to look how the color black and red one is it real. An Picture is not always telling how the color is.
A few weeks ago i already saw the grey one, not my style.

At first I had chosen the Two Tone Gray as my color choice, but as the weeks have gone by I've began to like the Red/Black. Now I find myself looking harder again at the Black/Gray combination.
The Gray is starting to look a little to bland, yet still nice.
The Red-White/Black combination highlights the lower fairing and air intake better and it looks racier and makes the bike flashy.
The Black with red lettering on the tank with other touches of red else where gives the bike an all business sinister look and also looks nice.
I’m no closer to picking a color option than I was a month ago and I’ve been looking at pictures everyday. I’m listening for differences of opinion as yet another method for deciding. However I agree seeing them in the metal would be the best way if you could see all three, but that may not be likely. My Dealer told me today that Aprilia only had the Black for viewing at the Dealer Show in Colorado. By the way, he said the Black was hot!
Some of the pictures I’ve seen look like the front fairing is Flat Black while others look like Gloss. It is Gloss Black right?

That gloss is that when you look on a picture, I think to buy the black one, and i let brush the air-intake red, same color as the fluo red one. Then you a get better racier look at front-unit. I have also looked for akra set, but's here very expensive, about 2349 Euro's (2700 u dollar).

It looks like the black is slightly favored over the red but I'm a little surprised there isn't more interest in the two tone gray.
I still don't know if the black is a flat black finish or a gloss black. ; does anyone know? The few pictures I've seen of the Black Tuono make it appear to be a flat black finish.

I still can't tell from the pictures if the Black color is flat black or a gloss black. I'll find out tomorrow at the show if they have one.

After seeing them at the show I like the grey better. The red is really orange, looks good and bright but not for me. They didn't have the black.
BTW- Piaggio rep said no Tuono factories until next year. The blue wheels don't have OZ labels and the valves are different from the OZ too.
(Piaggio rep thought they were OZ until further inspection)
I can see red only. :lover: Is there any other color? ;)

Well the Red is actually Orange after seeing it myself and the blue wheels simply look out of place however to a lesser degree with the gray.
Over all I had mixed feelings about the bike in general, but I’ll save that for another thread.

....especially when you see them in the metal as I have as in the dark & light grey & the black & red(orange?) colours, the red does really say out loud 'APRILIA & PROUD' though don't it. :)
What a great looking bike but the paint schemes?

they should have changed the wheel color and design from previous aprilia's since they are no longer oz's and are now made in china, It screams copycat inferior part, lame

My new Tuono 06 in black was ordered in the beginning of September 2005 and my dealer got a letter from Aprilia that the bike will be delivered before the end of January.
Lets hope the Italians keep their promise so I can show you a picture from the Tuono with the Akrapovic's.

Call me strange but why a babyshite tan frame? These and many other Aprilia aesthetic questions torment me. :D

I just put a deposit on the first black one that comes into San Diego. GG
p.s. not a rich guy, have sold one bike and will sell the other one I have at the end of the month to a Soldier who has been serving in Iraq as soon as he gets back. It's cool though, less insurance and dmv fees, plus I feel good about giving a service man a great price on my VStrom..........and my boy gets the '04 Tuono :)

My vote would be for the black, but change all the grey/white accents to Aprilia red. Now that would be hot.
Oh shit, I just quoted Paris Hilton.
