anyone know any good mv agusta forums?
I think I am done with my aprilia, I have had it for a year and its only been out of the shop for a total of 6 months. I am thinking about an f4 1000 +1, and later the add on mamba kit. Anyway, any forums would help

The MV Agusta group on Yahoo is actually very good. They have a lot of active members from all over the world. Some of the guys from UK and Japan really hooked me up on parts that I can't get here in the US.

I take it your state doesn't have lemon law. If that was my bike I would be taking that route. lot's of firms do lemon law for no charge as the manufacturer foots the bill.

Don't know any MV sites, but here's that Nambla kit site: http://216.220.97.17/
I didn't look at the site name that you posted close enough ie I thought you where posting about the mamba kit or something referencing MV equipement!

If you post something linking to a topic or website as such please post a warning since people get into serious trouble at work for such stuff!! People go to jail and are monitored closely for accessing crap like that and in some jobs fired or sent to jail (stockade, brigg or whatever your branch calls it)!!

So please post a warning!!!

Beautiful bike, that makes the most exotic sound, like a small Ferrari. Definitely a looker, which makes it special. Almost bought a 2002 F4 750cc, the engine is nothing compared to my 04' Factory, but I suspect the liter bike should be comparable, very tossable bike, nice balance.
With the price's they are charging for a 05', you may consider waiting for a 06' at full price. I noticed that when the 910 Brutale came out, they drop the price for the 05' about $2500.
Check out http://mvagusta.net/, nice site with a forum, pictures, tech discussions, reviews, and articles.
There is a posting however, that mentions Proton might sell MV Agusta because they are losing money. Check the MEDIA section.
As you will see a more exclusive bike, therefore less people for forum.
Good luck.

The Yahoo group for MV has a good group of active people at least in the 10s. In all seriousness, it's a good bike but I would not ride it on the streets, or on the track. I'd leave it in my living room as art. Which is what I did. I put a Ferraci Ti pipe and SPR chip on it and helped the midrange a lot but ended up sounding like a gixxer.

Might get one again but not a new one. I took a big hit when I sold it. Get the 04 1000 in 06 for a $10k discount. I would.

I have a RSV-R , I,m happy so far but next year an MV is on my horizon.
In my latest Aust motorcycle news mag there is an MV F4 SBK homologation model coming out. It says it will be a 200hp plus ( 320 km ) bike so i would wait and see when that one comes out .

And i bet it wont be CHEAP , but what the heck you only live once.

Thanks guys, (except fishhead) is that your favorite club? Anyway, I am not gone yet but I think that I have had it with aprilia. It sux, because I love the bike but I ogt a bad one and aprilia is doing nothing about it. And yes GA has a lemon law but, bikes are excluded. I may look at a small claims court issue, at least I can recoupe my loss.

Interesting.

Depending on my personal financial circumstances late next year, I'm hoping to go for an MV1000 myself.

Gotta persuade the wife that its a "must buy" first though, although i'm working on that......... ;)

Are you going to sell the devils?

11b30b4

I am not sure about the Devils yet. If I sell the bike it will be as is; however, if I file the law suit, aprilia can have the bike back in stock condition and I will sell the Carbon Fiber parts as well as the Devils to you guys on the forum. Either way, It will be February before I do anything.

Well Doc, I got them from Reubens32. I love them, but once my buddy got the tigs...JUST DAMN. If I get another aprilia, tigs are the way to go. BTW, aprilia replaced the ECU and the bike ran fine for another 200 miles then the spedo went haywire and I expect that aprilia will do the minimum to fix the bike. Hence this post and the anticipated move to MV

It's not for sale but on display at www.touringsportbmw.com is #251 MV F4 Tamburini, the very one that was in cycle world a few months ago, it will probably be there another week or so.

yes, that's why I say they look familiar. The satin black ceramic coating gives them away as they don't come like that stock and that's how I did mine. Not to mention you bought them from Reubens32, who bought them from me early this year. I went with arrow carbons.

Ahha, now it's all clear to me. Well if I sell them and someone from the forum get them, damn that will be 4 owners. I love them, the sound and power are fantastic. But after seeing and hearing the tigs, I wouldsuggest them to anyone who can afford them.

bbrown, yep all the girls in the pic look awesome, I'd love to ride them all :cathat:

You might want to do a quick search right here on the Forum - Ed posted a long, detailed review of the MV about a month ago.

It sure is a sweet looking bike and Ed's dyno run was impressive as well.

They really do sound amazing!

Try www.mvagusta.net. Very active and cordial forum.

In addition to a few other bikes, I have an '07 F4 1000R and '07 Brutale 910R. I would not have bought the bikes without information and encouragement from the knowledgable enthusiasts at mv.net.

MVs are reliable and very nearly bulletproof. There are '05s and '06s deeply discounted at many dealers. Personally, I recommend the '07 F4R, but then I would, wouldn't I?

damn right Caustis, and as you and I both know most of them should be buying DUCS anyway!

Thanks, TA. In a fit of madness, I test rode the Duc Hypermotard, as a serious alternative to the Tuono factory or Brutale. Fine, if you like riding round with one wheel on the ground, and dislocated shoulders. Quite an amusing bike, for those with money to burn and a need for a dedicated hooligan machine.
