Aren't those Marchesinis beautiful?
You might ask the good people at www.tawvehicle.com about them, but as of a year ago Marchesini wasn't doing one for the Futura. Contact www.motowheels.com regarding the BlackstoneTek carbon fiber wheels.
There are a number of different mounting systems for those offset wheel designs but I doubt any would interchange without serious machining work.

If you do find that they work please post it with pics. Thanks...

Contacted Dymag UK regarding wheels for a Futura. They don't have anything now for the rear, but directed me to their US importer (Oncycles, in Columbus OH) so that measurements could be taken- we'll call that a "maybe" then.
CF wheels on an RST would mimic another couple hundred ccs when the throttle's opened, and feel like a weight reduction while braking or steering. Aprilia, take your time with the RST1200 then...
One local maniac has Dymag's latest 5-spoke carbon fiber wheels on his R1100S, and they're amazing! A bit like lipstick on a pig too, but did I have to go there?!?!
Will report back with Oncycles' reply. If anybody else wants to chime in with interest, feel free, it would only help eh?

I'm interested, it would be good to have a cheap aftermarket source for wheels for when I finally bend mine.
^^^^ those look soooooo nice!!!^^^^^^^

The Dymag's would be too cool.
Are the CF wheels supposed to handle shock loads (potholes) as well as a stock wheel?
Suspect they would be very far from cheap though.

If you look at Dymag UK's website they list their CF wheels' certifications, including Germany's super strict TuV rating.
If they do happen for the RST most will faint at the lofty pricetag, and none but the most hardcore Futura devotee would even consider "throwing down".
By the way, I saw that loon on the Dymag-shod R1100S again this afternoon and it pisses me off! If they can make wheels for that freaking thing...

I had a similar Idea before I polished and powder coated my wheels. The cost for carbon wheels (about $5500) made me feel so much better that my wheels are now anodized blue pearl metalic. The only way anyone could do the dymag wheel deal, would be be a very - very large group buy. Maybe then, the price could be bargined down to the three thousand dollar range???? :peace: Rob H

Brian, are you able to visit Oncycles with your motorcycle? If the Dymag carbon wheels are ever made available based upon your prototyping I'll give you $250...let me know.
At this point we need them to take a really critical look at the Futura rear hub and decide what's needed to proceed. The sense I get from communicating with most aftermarket wheel makers is they've done a quick go/no-go check, but don't go any further than that.
Let's get someone to answer the "what would it take?" question.

I think thats one of the guys on my R11S list as I recall some photos of the bike. I don't think he paid $5k though.
