Rally Raid Parts???

Since it looks like the Rally Raid is not coming to America in the near future....Is it possible to get some of the parts...like hand grip covers...etc?

Good question. I currently have a Triumph Sprint St which is a good bike, but in my area has poor dealer support. I've been looking at the Caponord as a bike to provide more comfort for twoup and the ability to do some fireroad exploring. I've also considered the BMW GS Adventure but I don't like all the problems that are coming to light. 15k for a bike that needs a rear shock replacement after a few thousand miles, etc, etc. But I do really like the agressive styling of the Adventure. When I saw the Raid on the internet I thought "Score!" Sure wish Aprilia would change their mind and import the Rally Raid. Or at least provide Raid accessories as an option for a standard CN.

I agree, it would be nice if the bike was imported to the U.S. I know that the parts must be available....somewhere!! Now the project is finding a place to buy them.

I also looked at a BMW. Big bucks and I you do not plan on going to Africa...you could go with the money saved in the price between the two!

The last friday I went 'til Noale (Aprilia headquarter) to the best mechanic (I don't know if it's the best word: someone who adjusts bike) for the V-Twin Aprilia's bike. He make a wonderful work on my Capo, it's another bike now. So, I ask him if there will be the possibility to take Rally Raid accessories in a next future. He told me that after this summer Aprilia will commerce the bike and therefore the relative accessories. Lampz by Schwarz!
