Speed on new unrestricted Scarabeo 50 <43 mph

I recently purchased a 2003 Scarabeo 50. As part of the purchase the dealer agree to derestrict it. He said he did the Gameboy remapping and removed the spacer from the variator. Most of the posts that I have read indicate that with these mods the top speed should be somewhere between 45mph to 50 mph. I am maxing out at 42mph on level ground. This seems about 5 mph or more slower than I would expect. Does anyone have any advice explainations or suggestions.:(

That's propably because you still have to break it in.
Don't get to rough on the bike the first 500km

just break it in properly & use a fully synthetic 2T oil, that should free up a bit more revs.
