Did anyone buy a side stand for the Scarabeo 150? I bought one for $70 at the dealer and installed it the way the instructions read. Does anyone have the same problem with the side stand retracting automatically when trying to kick it out? I think its a horrible design if it is planned this way. After testing it, it slipped on numerous occations when kicking it out. Also, it is very difficult to kick it out in the first place because it is so small and it barely extends from underneath the bike... Are there any other stands out there that are a 'smarter' design?

Found a way to prevent automatic retraction!! There is a bolt that connects the side stand piece to the frame. This bolt has extra metal at the end of it that has no threads on it. Its purpose is to have the thin metal plate that connects the springs to stay in one position that forces the springs to retract the side stand. You will understand once you see the bolt. You must cut that part of the bolt off. Problem solved!! It works like any other kick stand after that. Good luck.
