View Full Version : Are you having fun trying to lock your new trunk?

First of all it doesn't understand English. You have to speak to it in Italian. Use the web translator to find enough Itlalian swear words for the job as you will need plenty.
If it is like mine, here is the plan:
Trying to get the locking plastic catch to engage the top is the real trick (here is where you start to use your new vocabulary.
If you simply turn the key to the unlock position, close the trunk and push in where it says "press" the catch misses the top lid.
What do you do?
Well, while holding the lid firmly down with your left hand, you push the top of the press portion toward the front of the case.
while simultaneously pushing in where it says "push"
If you happen to be an amputee and only have one arm you will never lock the case.
Remember the Italian surgical team that invented the appendix transplant.

I got on the ferry this morning and put my helmet in the new box and then couldnt get it open - took me 20 minutes and barely made it off the boat, I think I have it down now tho, just had to figure it out

Trunk is getting better as it loosens up. Still necessary to hold the top down as the plastic catch engages but not difficult. Just remember to press on the top portion of the locking tab, above where it says "press"
