My front brake has started to sqeak. It was intermittent a few hundred miles ago, but is now pretty common. Anybody else have this problem, suggestions, or guidance?

This is another common problem with motorcycles in general nowadays( unless you are leaking fluid onto the disks). The most probable cause is that the brake linings are metallic. for some reason they get glossed over and start to resonate causing the squeal. I got a can of brake cleaner, sprayed it on the linings and it went away . Now this was on my brand new Yamaha not my aprilia but I will bet its the same thing.

thoroughly clean the brake disc and caliper with soap, water, and a toothbrush.......it is fine to get it all wet, and just rinse with plain water.

squeling brakes is pretty common, but usually aftyer a good clenaing, the squel foes away.

Thanks for the pointers. It is MUCH better now - normal even. Thanks again for the reply.
