It's easy enough to press the button to cancel the turn signal; but my owner's manual states that they will self cancel. Is there some place in the world where this feature is offered?

They will turn off. But I would not say they were self-canceling. It more like I forgot to turn them off
so they turned theirselves off. The sequencing is to slow for acting as self canceling turn signels.

They are factory set to turn off in 40 seconds.

Thanks for the input. I've read almost the entire owners manual (except the Italian parts). I know what the manual says (40 seconds, or 500 meters). I stopped the indicator after failing to cancel after a minute & thirty seconds. I just figured it was another feature that didn't make it to this bike. The truth is: 40 seconds is too long. I noticed other features listed in the manual that aren't on my bike: parking brake (#14 p.30), ABS (#20 p. 30), Immobilizer (#21 p. 30).
