How mini mile do you have to drive before the Atlantic is broke-in? What is the maximum speed to drive in the brake-in period?

Pretty sure this is covered in the manual. Anyway, it's about 600 miles or so, and from memory it roughly equates to keeping it under 4000rpm. But generally, take it easy and get out on a good long countryside run if you can; lots of bends and up'n'down hills are all a good thing.

in Atlanta hills traffic I was told to drive like the bike was 10 yrs old nothing constant just vary everything. they also said change the oil before 1000-1200 miles. I am going from Mobil Auto to Mobil 1 full syn MX4T. I was told by Aprilia it may pay to pick an oil/gas and stick to it.

Ref; Oil change to "Mobile 1". I read on the Honda Silverwing site that "Mobile 1 was not good for a system with Catalitic converter. And that right on the bottle of Mobile 1 was the warning. Something about a cemical that is in high amount in that oil which will clog the coverter.
First thing I thought was, what about all the millions of cars useing Mobile 1. Unless the scooters use a differant type catalist in the converter.
Also told not to use any type synthetic oil until engine is well broke in. Maybe 2000 miles.
