Loss of power after 7.5k

From reading the forum it looks like all of you shift at about 10+k. on my rs 50 as soon as i hit over 7.5k it seems to lose alot of power and i find it quicker to acclerate if i change at 7 in every gear. Also mine wont go over 8k in 6th gear.

does anyone else have this problem

i am from england but the bike is a german import, and the person i bougth it off said it was derestricted

german is heavily restricted and has a 7/8mm carb :S even smaller maybe...
